How to play
- Every number tells how many steps (only up, down, left or right) away the nearest well is.
- A numbered cell never holds a well, and no well can be closer than a number says.
- When every number is met and the well count is right, the board is solved and each cell takes the colour of its nearest well.
- One daily board: 8×8 with 5 wells, the same for everyone.
- Free play in easy (6×6), medium (8×8) and master (9×9); every board has exactly one solution.
- No ads, purchases, account or analytics; works fully offline.

Frequently asked questions
When does the puzzle change?
At midnight in your device's local time. Everyone gets the same board on the same day.
How is the streak counted?
Days on which you solve the daily board in a row count as a streak. If you haven't solved today's board yet, yesterday's streak holds until the day ends.
I switched phones. Where is my progress?
Kuyu has no accounts; progress is stored only on your device. If you restored the new phone from an iOS backup it comes along, otherwise you start fresh.
Can I play without internet?
Yes. Kuyu works fully offline; puzzles are generated on your device.
What happens when I press and hold a number?
The cells too close for a well and the ring at exactly its distance are shaded; they disappear when you lift your finger.
What does "v1" in my shared result mean?
It is the version of the puzzle generator. The same number gives the same board on every device within one version.
